Three years have passed since the defeat of Magneto on Alcatraz Island, and the X-Men have still not gotten over their lose of their mentor, Professor Charles Xavier. The defeat of Magneto once gave the world a sense of calm, but since the cure has been found to be temporary, Magneto has returned. In an attempt to keep him at bay, the United Nations gave him the war-torn nation of Genosha. As for the X-Men, they have their own problems, Scott Summers has returned, though suffering from amnesia. In addition, the mighty Phoenix has risen again. Now the world copes with secrets, whispers of a man bringing the Sentinel program back full force, a covert government agency dubbed S.H.I.E.L.D popping up, and Magneto as the ruler of a whole nation. The future of the mutants and humans alike is very uncertain. What side do you fight for? Are you aided by altered genetics giving you special abilities, or are you as human as you look?

There have been several reports of mutants using their powers publicly for maliciousness. Humans are strongly advised to be cautioned when leaving their homes. Police are on high-alert and will be patrolling the streets more heavily now in an attempt to stop the mutant terrorism.
